Food – Our
Commissary
Unlike many vending/food service companies, Variety
FoodServices continues to operate its own commissary
in Warren, Michigan. Each day our commissary staff
prepares and packages fresh food for sale through our
food vending machines. All commissary produced food
is clearly labeled with ingredients, ounce weights,
heating instructions, selling dates, and nutritional
information. Menus are rotated to ensure variety and
to keep interest high. In addition, we also highlight
new items as they are introduced for sale. A bright “New” label
or a “Try Me” label is prominently displayed
to call attention to any new item. Our commissary continues
to get “excellent” ratings from the Michigan
Department of Health and the U.S. Department of agriculture.

OUR VENDED FOOD PROGRAM
Variety FoodServices has been
a leader in the vended food industry since 1928 and
is still going strong as the largest independent
vending and food service provider in Michigan. In
addition to our technical expertise and professionalism,
we offer a superior vended food program. With more
and more companies closing corporate cafeterias,
the need for an exceptional vended food program has
never been stronger. Here are some facts and a sample
menu of our vended food program
- We operate a 4
week menu cycle which allows us to present and
feature all of our items to our valued customers
without redundancy.
- We
feature "Branded Products" in
our machines- White Castle hamburgers, Bob Evans
products, Taco Bell products, and on occasion,
Tubby's Submarines (a Detroit Based Company) to
name a few
- We organize and categorize our foods
into groups such as Snacks, Breakfast Snacks and
Sandwiches, Small Salads, Small-size sandwiches,
Mid-large sandwiches, Large Salads, and last but
also the largest, Super Platters and Ethnic Specialties(
with an average weight of 17oz ! )
- A full line of Heart Smart items that
provide a healthy alternative.
- We are the only food service company
in the Metro Detroit area to still operate our own
Commissary-this allows us to provide our customers
with the best quality, largest variety and freshest
food in our vending program. Having our own Commissary
lets us organize and pack our food per customer,
hence allowing us to customize to each customer's
needs and concerns and even allowing us to make custom
items for our customers.
