Ensuring Safe and Enjoyable Dining Experience with Allergen Awareness

Variety FoodServices understands the importance of keeping up with the ever evolving needs and desires of students & schools when it comes to their food choices. From a variety of food options to healthy & nutritious recipes made by our top chefs, we believe it’s important that your students are satisfied and ready to take on the rest of their school day.

In order to make sure all students are able to eat, one of our top priorities is understanding and respecting students with special diets due to their religious beliefs, food intolerances or allergies.

Variety FoodServices & Food Restriction Guidelines

When students are at school, they shouldn’t have to worry about whether they can eat something or not. We at Variety take great care to make sure all students are accommodated for by making the process to submit allergen concerns easy!

Allergy Restrictions

Any students that need special dietary restrictions due to food allergies, we ask to submit a dietary request signed off by a medical professional to Variety FoodServices. After that, we will make sure that your student will always be accommodated with every lunch and/or breakfast service.

Other Food Restrictions

For students with special diets due to religious beliefs, we ask to submit a simple request to Variety FoodServices. We currently provide Halaal meals to many of our schools.

“Growing up with food allergies in the late 2000s was not easy for me. For the most part, I wasn’t just a student with food allergies, I was the student with multiple– 6 out of 9 of the major food allergens. I had to be extremely cautious with everything I ate in case I would get sick. Just knowing that we [Variety FoodServices] take great care of kids who have allergies, making sure that they have options too, makes me so happy for them.” - Kristina Familara, Marketing Specialist at Variety FoodServices
